How many camp outs have there been in 2008, at least a dozen so far it seems like, with more to come before the year ends. The high ticket prices of some of these events provide exquisite deco and setups, top notch sound and lighting, and world class talent. For all of you that were unable to attend all of your favorite camp outs because of financial restraints, this party is for you- and all free party loving people everywhere!

The Acid Totem sound system returns to its renegade roots. Imagine a party based on the very foundation of early rave culture, the FREE SOUND SYSTEM. Fill your car with all your friends and camping gear, and head to the Mendocino National Forest for the first ever MENDONESIA. A 3 hour drive from SF, Oakland, and Sacramento, and just over 2 hours from Santa Rosa.

This is an intimate and free campout, since we aren't charging, everyone is expected to pack out their own trash (trash bags will be provided). There is also extreme fire danger in the area, so no fire of any kind outside of campsite fire rings. Pit toilets are on site, but there is no running water. It gets HOT here during the day, and is relatively cool at night. Sunscreen for the daytime, and extra layers at night are recommended. There is plenty of shade in the campground, but early arrival is recommended to ensure a premium site. Did we mention there's a creek that runs right next to the background?

You can expect to hear a myriad of sounds and talented DJs from the many subscenes of Northern California dance culture. Party will be kicking off Friday evening circa 6pm.

Although the party is free, donations are greatly appreciated. Feed the Totem god and keep him happy!
