Aside form the fatal shooting at 1015 this weekend, our scene has suffered even more. Our friend Shawn was killed in a car accident on Sunday morning.
On Saturday night Shawn attended gorilla love affair. When he left tried to cross the bay bridge on foot after he had left the party. He was killed by a hit and run accident. As paramedics arrived he was pronounced dead. It makes me happy to know that he didn’t suffer much. If he had survived he would have been traumatized for life.
A lot of people knew Shawn as the chubby goofy guy with the blue hair but to those who knew him he was a great friend. I am not just saying this because he is dead. He made everyone he meets at the party feel welcome. The underground scene is at a great loss. I personally take this as losing a good friend. I have lost friends in the past, and I will continue to do so as I continue to live. Death is a part of life. I know that death in not the end. We should all remember him, and celebrate his passing with love and acceptance, instead of morning him in pain. I’m sure that is what he would want to come out of his friends in the mist of this tragedy.
